Dolphin Force completed two years of its service in Faisalabad today (Sept. 17) and reports showed increase in street crime rate which raised question on their performance.
The Dolphin Force, comprising 200 Turkish-trained personnel, was launched two years ago to control street crime and for arrest of criminal elements in Faisalabad. Despite, being equipped with hundreds of 500cc heavy bikes, bulletproof helmets and uniforms along with Beretta semi-automatic pistols, crime rate was not reduced. Dolphin Force Faisalabad is also salaried many times higher than Punjab Police but performance was shown much lower than them.
